The teams

perioikoi

Every great skater starts somewhere and with us that’s with the Periokoi. This is our beginner team, where new skaters learn the basics of roller derby, from skiing skills and safety to teamwork and strategy. Practice focuses on building confidence, control, and having fun while learning the game at a comfortable pace. Periokoi have the option of competing in low stress mixers, where the focus is on fun and participation and how empowering it feels to roll with a team.

Agoges

The Agoges are where skaters take their next big step into competitive roller derby! As our travel “B” team, the Agoges give skaters a real taste of competitive play, with a focus on skill development, strategy, and teamwork. They travel to select bouts and tournaments, gaining valuable experience on the road while keeping the emphasis on growth and fun. Practices are more intense and collaborative with skaters training alongside our “A” team to sharpen skills, boost confidence, and learn what it takes to compete at the next level.

Spartans

The Spartans are our elite travel team and the pinnacle of junior roller derby. These co-ed skaters travel across the U.S. taking on top tier competition and representing our league with skill, speed, and teamwork. Practices are intense, focused, and collaborative, sharpening every skater’s strategy, agility, and game sense. Being a Spartan isn’t just about competing, it’s about leadership, dedication, and lifting your teammates up on and off the track. For skaters ready to challenge themselves and embrace the trill of competitive travel derby, the Spartans are where the action happens.
